INDIANAPOLIS - Erin Reese has become the first Sycamore to qualify of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships since 2015 when
Alethia Marrero and
Adarius Washington qualified in the 800-meter run and 60-meter hurdles.

Reese has qualified for the championships in the women's weight throw where she enters with the 12th-best mark in the NCAA of 21.81m (71-06.75) from the Indiana State Early Bird. Only the top-16 marks/times in the country qualify for the Indoor National Championships.

The redshirt senior is coming off of a stellar weekend of competition at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships where she claimed the weight throw title for the second consecutive year with a mark of 21.51m (70-07.00) and was named the Most Outstanding Female Field Athlete.

ESPN3 will stream the championships live starting at 6:30 p.m. ET March 8 and starting at 5 p.m. ET March 9.

The championships will be hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the City of Birmingham from March 8-9 at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Ala.
