Freshman sprinter JaVaughn Moore put on one of the most important performances of the day, claiming victory in the men's 60-meter dash with a time of 6.85, now the top-time in the Missouri Valley Conference and a personal-best.

Elsewhere on the track, freshman Matthew Lewis-Banks got back to his winning ways, taking the men's 60-meter hurdles title with a finals time of 8.01. The hurdler still owns the best time in the Valley of 7.93 from the Meyo Invitational.

In the distance events, freshman Noah Hufnagel walked away with gold in the men's 3000-meter run with a time of 8:48.41 and was followed by fellow teammate Luke Kerstiens who placed second at 8:52.34.

The male pole vaulters were a bright spot for the Trees in the field, as the trio of Antoine Howard, Riley Smith and Richard Griffith took the top-three spots in the event.
