All-MVC (Heptathlon, 3rd)
Earned All-MVC honors with a third place finish in the heptathlon behind 5050 points, the fifth-best total in school history...Competed in four meets for the Trees throughout the season...Won the 1000-meter run, high jump, 60-meter hurdles and pole vault in the heptathlon at the MVC Championships.

All-MVC (Decathlon, 3rd)
2X MVC Scorer (4X400-Meter Relay, 5th; 400 Hurdles, 6th)
Earned All-MVC honors in the decathlon with a third place finish and 6666 points, the sixth most in school history...Also scored in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.47 and a sixth place finish, a new personal-best...Placed fifth as a member of the 4X400-meter relay team at the MVC Championships with a time of 3:26.08.

At Vincennes
Richard Griffith joins the Sycamores from Vincennes University…Member of the team for two years…At Vincennes he was second in the nation in the pole vault and fourth in the nation in the heptathlon.
 
High School
Richard attended Vilseck High School in Germany where he was on the track team for two years…In Italy he claimed first-place in all four of his events…Was the All-European champion for the high jump…Was a member of an All-Europe team championship.

Richard Griffith was born on February 8, 1994 in Tennessee…son of Richard and Alvena Griffith…has five siblings...majoring in Physical Therapy.
