WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – At the conclusion of day two of the Purdue Invite in West Lafayette, Indiana, the Indiana State Swimming and Diving program finds themselves in seventh place with 129 points.
The Sycamores are currently in front of McKendree University. Louisville leads the field and is followed by Florida International, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Grand Canyon, and Illinois State.
Surging Sycamores
Sophomore
Anna Maria Nasiou dominated the pool in the 100 breaststroke breaking the school record with a time of 1:04.20. This swim puts her third overall in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Molly Fogarty placed eighteenth overall in the finals of the 400 individual medley posting a time of 4:30.59. Fogarty beat her prelim time by 3.62 seconds.
Freshman
Marni Gray posted a time of 55.92 in the 100 butterfly. With this swim, Gray is second overall in the Valley in the 100 butterfly.
The 800 freestyle relay team touch the wall fourth posting a time of 7:27.82. The team consisted of

Christensen's Corner
"Tonight was a strong session for us, highlighted by
Anna Maria Nasiou's school record performance in the 100 breaststroke," said head coach
Josh Christensen. "We had quite a few lifetime bests this evening and did some damage in our top five performer. Our 800 freestyle relay team did a really nice job. That is a tough event at the end of a long day. I am really proud of their effort. We've been getting better eash session, so we planto continue that with strong performances tomorrow."
