ST. LOUIS – Sophomore
Melina Tedrow has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week for her performances against Southern Illinois and Missouri State over the weekend, the Valley announced Tuesday afternoon.

Tedrow, the Sycamore libero, was the defensive leader for Indiana State during their 2-0 weekend. The sophomore started her weekend with a 24-digs, six assist performance on Friday versus Southern Illinois and then recorded 20 digs, three assists and a service ace against the Bears on Saturday evening.

During her impressive weekend of play, Tedrow averaged 5.50 digs-per-set on 44 total digs and she now has 15 matches this season with 20 or more digs. She has now entered the Sycamore record books in 7th for most digs in a single season with 510.

ISU will make their final push for the MVC tournament this weekend when they travel to Illinois State and Bradley.
