MADISON, Wis. – The Indiana State women battled the cold in Madison, Wis., at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional where they placed 24th as a team, led by redshirt senior
Brooke Moore.

Indiana State placed 24th with 610 points, defeating Ohio (652), Bowling Green (671), Evansville (820), Valparaiso (851), Cleveland State (869), Purdue Fort Wayne (940) and Green Bay (971). Michigan State and Michigan claimed the automatic qualifier spots into the NCAA Championships while the Spartans claimed the regional crown.

Moore led the Sycamore delegation across the finish line on Friday, making up nine spots over the final 2K of the women's 6K race to place 48th with a time of 21:29.90. Fellow senior
Alli Workman was second across the line for ISU and the only other Sycamore in the top-100, placing 96th and clocking a time of 22:17.30.

Michaela Ward was the third Tree to finish the 6K, racing to a time of 22:54.40 and 137th place finish while
Tara Cassidy took 166th at 23:34.50. Sophomore
Jocelyn Quiles was the fifth runner to place for the blue and white, recording a time of 23:46.30 en route to a 169th place finish.

The Sycamores' competition season has come to a close, but Indiana State will host the NCAA Cross Country Championships next Saturday, Nov. 23 at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
