CARBONDALE, Ill. – Laura Gross and
Melina Tedrow both recorded a double-double but Indiana State's offense struggled Friday night, hitting .098 in a 3-1 loss at Southern Illinois. Set scores were 26-24, 25-22, 23-25 and 25-22.

Gross put down 12 kills and had 13 digs for Indiana State (9-17, 2-12 Missouri Valley) while Tedrow tallied 34 assists and 12 digs.

Southern Illinois (5-21, 1-12), which hit .105 in the match, was led by the nine kills by Patience Brown.

Indiana State returns to action Saturday night when the Sycamores play at Missouri State. First serve is set for 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
