TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Senior Laura Gross posted her 38^th career double-double and redshirt junior Cassie Kawa hit a team-leading .235 but Indiana State dropped straight sets to Drake in a 3-0 decision Friday evening at ISU Arena. Set scores were 25-20, 25-19 and 25-19.
 
Kawa's .235 included six kills for Indiana State (10-19, 3-14 Missouri Valley) while freshman Melina Tedrow tallied her seventh double-double with 26 assists and 11 digs.
 
Drake (19-13, 7-10) stayed alive in the race for the sixth and final seed in the MVC Tournament next week with the win. The Bulldogs were led by Cathryn Cheek's 13 kills and 14 digs for a double-drouble while Kylee Macke posted 17 digs.
 
Indiana State hosts Northern Iowa in the season finale on Saturday, Nov. 17 at ISU Arena. First serve is set for 7 p.m. and Senior Day festivities will take place immediately prior.
 
SET 1 – Drake 25, Indiana State 20

• Indiana State trailed by six early on (12-6) and would not be able to recover.
• ISU was led by Cassie Kawa's four kills and .375 hitting percentage.
• Drake hit .279 as a team and was led by Elle Tubbs and Cathryn Cheek, each with five kills.
• The Sycamores hit .158 as a team.

 
SET 2 – Drake 25, Indiana State 19

• ISU led at the 11-9 mark before Drake went on a 7-1 run to take a 16-12 lead.
• The Bulldogs hit .333 in the set and were led by Cathryn Cheek's five kills while Callan Holmes also put down five kills.
• Laura Gross led ISU with five kills while Chloe Carenza and Jade York each posted four digs.

SET 3 – Drake 25, Indiana State 19

• The match was tied at 10-10 before Drake went on a 9-2 run to lead 19-12, marking the largest lead of the set for the Bulldogs.
• Drake ended the set and the match on a 4-1 run.
• Laura Gross posted six kills in the set while Jade York tallied six digs.
• Callan Holmes put down four kills for Drake.

NOTABLES

• With the loss, Indiana State drops to 27-39 all-time against Drake. The Bulldogs have now won two in the series.
• ISU is now 15-17 all-time against Drake in Terre Haute and has lost five straight to DU at home.
• This marked Laura Gross's 38^th career double-double as she tallied 12 kills and 13 digs.
• This also marked Melina Tedrow's seventh double-double as she posted 26 assists and 11 digs.
• Indiana State is now 3-5 this year when recording more aces than the opponent (4-1 tonight).
