TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Melina Tedrow recorded a double-double and had an ace but the Sycamores struggled offensively in a 3-0 loss to Illinois State in Missouri Valley Conference action at ISU Arena Friday night. Set scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-16.

The Sycamores (8-16, 1-11) served up their most aces in a match in two weeks but a .009 hitting percentage limited the offense in the loss.

Illinois State (19-5, 11-1) hit .305 as a team and was led by the 13 kills out of Monica Miller, who hit .429. The Redbirds had four players hitting over .300.

Tedrow registered 17 assists and 11 digs in her fourth career double-double.

SET 1 – Illinois State 25, Indiana State 19
- The opening set had 10 ties and two lead changes.
- Madeline Williams led the Trees with four kills and a .667 hitting percentage.
- Three different Redbirds put down four kills in the set.
SET 2 – Illinois State 25, Indiana State 14
- Illinois State never trailed in the set and led by as much as nine (14-5), a lead the Sycamores would be unable to overcome.
- Laura Gross led the Sycamores with three kills in the set.
- Monica Miller led Illinois State with five kills in the frame.
SET 3 – Illinois State 25, Indiana State 16
- Indiana State led at the 8-7 mark, forcing Illinois State to call timeout.
- The Redbirds would go on a 4-0 run after that timeout and not relinquish the lead.
- Laura Gross led the Sycamores with four kills in the set.
- Kaylee Martin led the Redbirds with six kills and a .500 hitting percentage in the set.
