Sycamores Unable to End Skid at Chippewa Invitational

The Basics
Match One Score - Central Michigan 3 - Indiana State 2
Match Two Score - IUPUI 3 - Indiana State 2
Records - CMU (6-1) - IUPUI (4-5) - ISU (1-8)
Location - McGuirk Arena (Mount Pleasant, Mich.)

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – Indiana State volleyball dropped a pair of non-conference matches Friday at the Chippewa Invitational, falling to host Central Michigan in five sets (27-29, 18-25, 28-26, 25-22, 15-12) and in-state foe IUPUI in five sets (20-25, 25-21, 14-25, 26-24, 14-9) inside McGuirk Arena.

The Sycamores looked to be in control of both matches, but late rallies from the opposition proved to be too much to overcome as the team could not slow down Central Michigan or the Jaguars. ISU came out on top in the opening sets both matches but ran out of gas, losing the final two sets in each match.

ISU (1-8) is now winless since opening day when the Sycamores swept DePaul at the Indiana Invitational. The Sycamores fall to 0-3 in five-set matches on the season.
