TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State volleyball picked up its second-straight Missouri Valley Conference win Monday night at the ISU Arena, defeating the Bradley Braves in four sets (25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 25-19).
Junior
Laura Gross continued her hot streak, leading all Sycamores (4-10, 2-0 MVC) with 15 kills and 17 digs en route to her 10th double-double of the season. Indiana State started the night hot, hitting .351 in the opening set while holding Bradley to just a .178 hitting percentage on their way to a 25-23 win.
The Trees would continue to pound the Braves as play continued, taking advantage of 10 Brave attacking errors in the second set to go up 2-0 with a 25-19 victory. BU would come out of the break ready to play though, hitting their highest percentage on the night at .261 to take the third frame 25-23.
Defensive pressure and key kills would help ISU to the victory as the frontline for the Sycamores would come away with three blocks in the set led by
Cassie Kawa and
Sarah Peterson who had two blocks each in the fourth. Gross and Kawa were nearly unstoppable in the fourth set as Gross connected on five of her 15 kills during the frame and Kawa put down three kills in four tries to lead the team to a 25-19 win.

- Gross recorded her 10th double-double of the season and second straight in MVC play with a 15 kills - 17 dig performance
- Kawa improved her season hitting percent to .383 with 137 kills
- Rachel Griffin finished with 46 assists, needing just 34 more to reach 2,000 for her career
- Indiana State had 12 blocks in the match while BU had just five; Alex Toombs led the team with five block assists while Peterson and Kawa had four block assists
- Freshman Nikkie White picked up three blocks and a block solo in the match
- ISU hit a match-best .600 in the final set
- As a team, ISU hit .308 in the match while holding the Braves to .212
