TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State volleyball fell to No. 21 Northern Iowa Friday night at the ISU Arena, dropping to 5-12 overall and 3-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference. UNI improved to 15-4 and remains undefeated in Valley play moving to 5-0.  
 
The Panthers potent offensive attack was on full display as UNI hit over .350 in each set and .393 for the match. It was all UNI in the opening set as Bri Weber guided the Panthers to a 25-15 win as ISU was held to just 10 kills.
 
The Sycamores came out in the final two sets with an edge, playing competitively all the way until the last point. Indiana State put together its best set of the night in the middle frame, hitting .265 as Damadj Johnson paced the squad with a team-best six kills in the set but it wasn't enough as UNI hit .368 in the frame to go on for the 25-17 win.
 
The third set was a battle all the way until the end. Indiana State trailed 14-9 midway through but powered on to eventually tie it at 19 apiece. The Panthers used a timeout to put a stop to the momentum and close out the match with a 25-20 win.
