The Indiana State women's golf team, under the direction of seventh-year head coach Greg Towne, gets an early start to the 2016-17 campaign over the Labor Day holiday as they take part in the Youngstown State Kickoff Invitational on Monday & Tuesday, September 5-6.
The event will be held at the Mill Creek North Golf Course just outside of Youngstown. The course will play 5,886 yards and par is 70.
The six-team field consists of host Youngstown State, Cleveland State, Northern Kentucky, Dayton, Ashland and the Sycamores. The tournament will be one 18-hole round on Labor Day beginning at 10 a.m. (ET) and then wraps up on Tuesday with a final round which starts at 9 a.m.
The Sycamores return everyone from last season in which they finished second at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship by setting a school record with a three-round score of 897. Leading the way is senior Marissa Uradomo who captured her second consecutive all-conference honor following the event.
