TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's basketball head coach Joey Wells has announced the additions of former player Lashonda Littleton and longtime student manager Evan Dodd to graduate manager positions with the program for the 2015-16 season.
Littleton will change roles with the program after a two-year playing career (2013-15) while Dodd will also transition in his duties with the team. Littleton takes over responsibilities as Director of Basketball Operations while Dodd becomes the team's Video Coordinator.
“I am so fortunate in my short time at Indiana State to be surrounded by not only great student athletes like Lashonda, but loyal managers like Evan,” Wells said. “Both expressed interest early on in staying with the program after they finished undergraduate degrees, and I am thankful for the roles they will be playing on staff this season.”
Littleton, a native of Dallas, Texas, played in a combined 34 games over her career at Indiana State after transferring from Chipola College. A knee injury cut her career short in 2014-15, but averaged 2.9 points, 2.6 rebounds, shot 34.6 percent from the floor and averaged 11.8 minutes per appearance in two seasons.
She earned a bachelor'sdegree in physical education and exercise science in May and is currently pursuing her master's degree in health science.
Dodd, a Columbus, Ind. native, graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in physical education and will pursue a master's degree in sport management. He spent his entire undergraduate career as key member of the male practice squad and student manager.
A high school basketball standout, Dodd played two seasons at Hauser High before playing his final two seasons at state powerhouse Columbus North. In his career, he scored over 1,000 points and was a four-time all-conference selection and three-time all-area honoree.
