Rain ended the first fall outing for the Sycamore softball team Sunday at Eastern Illinois in Charleston, Ill.  The Sycamores were leading Lincolnland Community College 2-1 after two innings of play when the sky opened and ended play for the day. 

Senior Lindsay Beisser pitched two innings for the Sycamores while sophomore Alex  Baumgardt and Beisser scored for the home team.

The Sycamores will return to action this Saturday when they host Marian in a dobuleheader at 10:30am at Price Field.
