TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Head women's basketball coach Teri Moren has announced the signing of two more student-athletes to the 2011-12 Sycamore women's basketball team today (April 20). The Sycamores will welcome Alexandra Henderson (Euless, Texas / Univ. of Houston) and Natasha Zurek (St. John, Ind. / Andrean HS) to Terre Haute next season, joining the four other signees announced in the Fall.

Alexandra Henderson - 6-2 - guard / forward - Euless, Texas - Univ. of Houston / Euless Trinity HS

Henderson saw action in eight games at the University of Houston last season, averaging 7.1 minutes, 1.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game as a freshman. The 6-foot-2 athlete has the ability to play several positions on the floor, from out on the perimeter to inside on the low block. Henderson starred at two high schools in Texas, racking up playing time at Colleyville Heritage High School before finishing her high school career at Euless Trinity High School. Henderson will sit out the 2011-12 season after transferring from UH, but will have three years of eligibility remaining when she hits the court in 2012-13.

Natasha Zurek - 5-9 - guard - St. John, Ind. - Andrean HS

Zurek comes to Indiana State after spending four seasons at Andrean High School in Merrillville, Indiana, where she averaged 12.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.2 steals and 4.5 assists per game as a senior. Following her final season at AHS, Zurek was to both all-conference and all-area teams, while also earning the team's MVP award.

Henderson and Zurek will join Travecia Franklin (Columbus, Ohio / Brookhaven HS), Racheal Mahan (Mansfield, Ohio / Mansfield HS), Marah Morris (Columbus, Ohio / Brookhaven HS) and Jessica Valley (Lafayette, Ind. / McCutcheon HS) next season, as Moren's recruiting class for the 2011-12 season now moves to six student-athletes.
