PEORIA, Ill. - The Indiana State women's basketball team fell in their final game of the 2010-11 regular season to the Bradley Braves on Saturday, earning the Sycamores the seventh seed in the upcoming State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament that begins on Thursday.

The Sycamores finish the regular season with a 14-15 overall record, including an 8-10 mark in league play, as ISU will draw the Southern Illinois Salukis in the opening round of the tournament. ISU and SIU will play at 9:35 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, March 10, in St. Charles, Mo.

Indiana State shot out of the gates on Saturday, opening the game on a 15-4 run after six and a half minutes of play. ISU took their biggest lead of the half at the 11:46 mark, when a 3-pointer from sophomore Taylor Whitley put the Sycamores in front 20-6.

The Sycamores went cold following the triple by Whitley, as the Braves went on a 15-0 run over the game's next nine minutes to take a 21-20 lead with 2:36 left until the break. Redshirt freshman Andrea Rademacher ended the scoring drought for ISU, knocking down a trey from the top of the key to give the Sycamores a 23-21 lead with 2:13 remaining the half.

The Braves took a 27-26 lead into the locker room, on the strength of a six-point advantage at the free-throw line. BU went 6-for-10 at the line in the first half, while the Sycamores did not make one trip to the charity stripe. Senior Kelsie Cooley led ISU at the break, with eight points and six rebounds, while Whitley and freshman Anna Munn both chipped in five.

Indiana State and Bradley battled back-and-forth over the opening seven minutes of the second half, with the Braves taking their largest lead to that point with 13:43 to go on a jumper by MacKenzie Westcott. The jumper from Westcott gave the Braves a five-point lead, at 41-36.

The Sycamores ran off a pair of 8-0 runs after that, sandwiched around a 3-pointer from BU's Kelly Friggs with 10:24 remaining. The strong offensive play for ISU gave the team an eight-point lead, as a free-throw from Rademacher put ISU in front 52-44 with 7:56 to play.

Bradley answered right back with a run of their own, forcing Indiana State to go within a point for the next three minutes. During those three minutes the Braves scored 15 straight points, taking a 59-52 lead with 4:12 to go on a pair of free-throws from Raisa Taylor.

ISU would cut the BU lead to five points with 2:13 remaining on a trey by junior Deja Mattox, but BU scored the next six points of the game to put the Sycamores away.

Bradley dominated the free-throw line on Saturday, connecting on 28 of their 35 attempts, compared to a 12-for-17 effort for Indiana State. 20 of Bradley's final 24 points over the final six minutes of play came at the charity stripe.

Four Sycamores finished the game in double figures, led by Whitley with 15. Cooley and Munn both added 14 points, with Mattox tossing in 10. Cooley also fell one rebound shot of her first career double-double, pulling down a game-high nine rebounds. Taylor, BU's only senior, led the Braves with a career-high 29 points on Senior Day.

Indiana State begins their postseason run on Thursday, March 10, when they face Southern Illinois at 9:35 p.m. (ET) during the State Farm MVC Tournament in St. Charles, Mo.
