TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Third year coach, Traci Dahl brought her team together for a Blue-White Scrimmage Saturday, giving her an outlook on what her team may need to work on this season.  Though the crowd was rather sparse, the players did not seem to mind staying lively and focused throughout the entire event.  The Blue team won both sets (25-18, 25-17).  The sophomores were of special note on the court, with Auriel Armstrong driving kills over the net.  Both teams showed a consolidated effort, and Traci Dahl noted:

"I think we did a pretty good job on both sides on stuff that we were working on in practice.  We have had a limited amount of time to really practice this season.  We only had a few days, well actually about a week and a half.  I thought the Blue team did a really great job challenging the White team.  Our Blue team won 2-0, and our freshman really stepped up and did a great job, so I am really proud of them.  Our sophomores did a good job, and I'm looking forward to more competitiveness in the future."

The Sycamores will begin their 2010 season off in Edwardsville, Illinois for a three game weekend.  Friday, August 27th they will be matched against SIU Edwardsville, beginning at 8:00 pm.  Saturday, August 28th they will be up against Ball State at 11:00 am, and later that evening they will play against The Citadel at 5:30 pm.
