OMAHA, Neb. - Even though senior Ryan Strausborger's career with the Indiana State baseball team is over, the Sycamore outfielder picked up another award for his work during the 2010 season. Strausborger was selected as one of three outfielders nationally for the Rawlings Gold Glove Award, which is chosen by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association's (ABCA).

Strausborger, a senior from Osceola, Ind., started all 54 games this past season, assisting ISU to .976 team fielding percentage. That fielding percentage placed Indiana State 10^th nationally.

Of Strausborger's 54 starts, 46 of them came in center field throughout the season. The Sycamore senior recorded 126 putouts and six outfield assists without committing an error in the outfield.

Nine players from each division (NCAA I, II, III, NAIA, Junior College I, II, III, and PAD) are announced at the respective site of each division's national championship. Each winner receives the Rawlings Gold Glove Award similar to the MLB award. Each recipient's school also receives the award for permanent display.

Strausborger ended his career with ISU this past year and was selected in the 16^th round of the MLB Draft by the Texas Rangers. Strausborger played in 207 games over his four years at ISU, starting in 202 of those contests. He was named First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference in each of his last three years as a Sycamore, earning the selection at three different positions on the field (utility in 2008, second base in 2009 and outfield in 2010).
