Indiana State Announces Completed 2010 Football Schedule

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State Department of Athletics announced today the completion of the 2010 Sycamore football schedule. The Sycamores are led by third-year head coach Trent Miles.

Indiana State opens the season against St. Joseph's (Ind.) on September 4 with a 7:05 p.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium. ISU leads the all-time series 15-12 versus St. Joseph's and will be facing them for the first time since the 1998 season - when the Sycamores were a 38-7 victor.

BCS participant Cincinnati is slated for September 11 on the road. ISU is 1-3 all-time against the Bearcats, with that last meeting taking place in 1988. ISU rounds out non-conference play on October 2 when Quincy returns to Memorial Stadium.

Missouri Valley Football Conference play begins on September 25 at Western Illinois. ISU downed the Leathernecks last season by the score of 17-14.

Following the game against Quincy, ISU will complete a three-game home stand with the annual Homecoming contest against Illinois State on October 9 (3:05 p.m.) and versus Missouri State on October 16 at 4:00 p.m.

ISU then takes to the MVFC road for a game at North Dakota State on October 23 before returning home for Family Day against South Dakota State on October 30 and Senior Day versus Northern Iowa on November 6.

The regular season concludes at Youngstown State on November 13 and at Southern Illinois on November 20.

FUTURE SCHEDULES:
Highly tentative future schedules can be found by using the drop down menu in the top right hand corner of the 2010 schedule page at GoSycamores.com. In 2011, ISU will face Penn State, Butler and Western Kentucky in non-conference play. In 2012, Indiana returns to schedule for the season opener. In 2013, ISU will open the season at Indiana and then travel to Purdue the following week. All MVFC contest dates are also listed for the 2011-2013 seasons as well on GoSycamores.com.
