St. Louis, MO - The Indiana State softball team has been plagued with inclement weather one too many times this season. Once again, rain became the deciding factor in the first game of a doubleheader at Saint Louis University.
The Sycamores were up 2-0 in the top of the sixth inning when the game was called. However, those two runs were scored in that same inning and because the game reverts back to the last complete inning (fifth), the game goes down as a 0-0 tie. Katie Armour, Sam Markowski, and Brittaney Searing each tallied a hit. Armour threw five strong innings allowing only one hit while striking out three. The second game of the doubleheader will not be made up.
Bradley University will come to Terre Haute this weekend for a three-game series at Price Field. Saturday will be a doubleheader starting at noon and a single game will be played on Sunday beginning at noon as well.
