Jennifer Linton, MPH, ATC, LAT

Jennifer Linton joined the Indiana State staff in April 2024 as the Director of Sports Medicine & Performance. She came to the Sycamores by way of Rocky Mountain College where she served as the Head Athletic Trainer/Senior Women's Leader over the course of the 2023-24 year.

Linton served at Rocky Mountain College as the Head Athletic Trainer from 2017-2023 providing athletic training services to all RMC athletic teams including prevention, evaluation, management, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries during practice and competition. She also created and implemented A.T. room policies and procedures and emergency action plans, while working closely with the athletic staff.

During her time at Rocky Mountain College, Linton was honored as the 2022-23 Frontier Conference Athletic Trainer of the Year and was the conference's nominee for the NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year award. 

She took over the role of the RMC Senior Women's Leader in 2023 advocating for student-athlete well-being while also serving as a mentor and resource for direct reports and other athletics staff members. She assisted in providing leadership oversight for both men's and women's sports, while supervising the strength and conditioning staff and budget.

Linton was hired by Athletic Medicine and Performance and Ortho Montana in 2016, where she began working with Rocky Mountain College. Previous stops include working as an Athletic Trainer with Yellowstone Sports Medicine in Cody, Wyo. from 2013-16, working with the Research Center University of Hawaii in 2010-13, and the State of Hawaii - Department of Education Athletic Health Care Trainer from 2009-13.

Linton was a 2002 graduate of South Dakota State, where she began her athletic training career as a student trainer. She later completed her Graduate Degree in Public Health at Walden University. Linton has served in a variety of athletic training positions in her career spanning across Wyoming, Washington, and South Dakota.Â
