Ethan Breen is in his first season as an assistant cross country/track and field coach at Indiana State in 2024-25, working with the Sycamores' distance runners.
Breen joins the Sycamores coaching staff following a decorated career as a distance runner with the Blue and White. He was a part of six straight MVC Championships for Indiana State from 2022-24, scoring points for the Sycamores in each of those title-winning efforts. He ranks among the program's best in the indoor mile (seventh, 4:06.99) and outdoor 1500m (seventh, 3:46.59), while also being a part of Indiana State's school record outdoor distance medley relay team (9:49.87). Breen was a part of the top two outdoor DMR teams and two of the top three indoor DMR teams in Sycamore history, and he also ran the opening leg for two of Indiana State's top three 4x1600m relay teams in school history.
Breen graduated from Indiana State in 2024 with a degree in psychology.
