Aaron Roelfs joined the Indiana State Strength & Conditioning Staff in January 2023. He was promoted to Assistant Coach in August 2024. He will be working primarily with the Indiana State baseball and football teams, after previously working with ISU softball, women's soccer, and track & field over the 2023-24 athletic season.
Roelfs came to Indiana State by way of Central College in Pella, Iowa, where he served as a student strength and conditioning intern. Among the teams he assisted with included football, wrestling, men's basketball, volleyball, softball, men's and women's track & field, and baseball. He also served as the student head strength and conditioning coach for the Central men's soccer and men's golf programs.
His other strength and conditioning stints have come by way of Pella High School (May-August 2021) and Nebraska-Lincoln (June-August 2022). During his time in Lincoln, Roelfs assisted with the Olympic Sports including volleyball, women's soccer, wrestling, and women's gymnastics.
Roelfs was a three-year letter winner on the Central College football team from 2018-22. He was a varsity starter at tight end and was a starter on Central's 2021 NCAA Division III quarterfinalist team.
He graduated in December 2022 from Central College with his bachelor's degree in exercise science with a focus in strength and conditioning. He is working on his master's degree in sports management at Indiana State.
