2012 – Competed in 28 games, starting 26 … had 219 kills in 751 attempts and a .132 attack percentage, eight set assists, a team high 22 service aces, 240 digs, 13 blocks, and 249 points … had season games highs of .333 attack percentage (vs. Chicago state), 24 kills, 64 attempts and 16 digs (vs. Evansville), three aces (vs. Evansville, SIU Edwardsville, and Butler), and three blocks (vs. Eastern Illinois).
2011 – Played in 24 games (73 sets), starting 12 … had 121 kills (1.66 per set) in 448 attempts (0.94 attack percentage), 11 assists, 18 service aces, 112 digs, eight blocks (two solo and six assists), and 144 points … had game highs of 16 kills and 18 points against IUPUI (11/8), 51 attempts and three set assists against Southern Illinois (11/5), 13 digs against Creighton (10/1), and four blocks against Evansville (11/4).
2010 – Played in two games (five sets) … received Coach’s Award.
BEFORE ISU – Lettered in volleyball four years and basketball three years at Chicago Marist High School … earned East Suburban Catholic All-Conference honors …. Honorable Mention All-State … named to Chicago Sun Times All Area Team and the Chicago Southtown Star All-Area Team … captain of school team … played club volleyball for Celtic Force.
PERSONAL – Molly Virginia Murphy was born on Jan. 26, 1992, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Tom and Karen Murphy … majoring in Special Education at Indiana State … brother, Sean, plays baseball at St. Ambrose University (2005-present) … brother, Patrick, plays basketball at St. Ambrose University (2008-present).
