Melina Collins

Melina (Tedrow) Collins enters her first season as an assistant coach at Indiana State following a decorated playing career with the Sycamores.

Indiana State’s all-time digs leader with 2,094, Collins played for the Sycamores for five seasons (2018-22), where she established herself as one of the top defensive specialists in the Missouri Valley Conference. She was the libero for Indiana State from 2019-22, averaging more than four digs per set in each of those four seasons with a career-best 5.35 digs per set in 2019. Collins also set the school single-game record for digs with 44 in a win over Evansville in 2019 and ranks 11th in Missouri Valley Conference history for career digs.

Collins shined off the court as well, as she was a three-time selection to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Teams, including a First Team MVC Scholar-Athlete honor in 2019. She graduated in December 2022 with a degree in marketing, with a concentration in sales management.
