2018: Wells became the 35th Academic All-American in the history of Sycamore Athletics when she was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-America Third Team ... Wells was also named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District First Team to become just the fourth student-athlete in the history of the women's soccer program to earn that honor .. She was also named an All-MVC First Team selection and was a MVC All-Academic pick ... She finished her career as a three-time All-MVC and three-time MVC Scholar-Athlete selection ... Wells capped her senior season with 12 goals scored which broke the previous school record of 10 set by Abby Reed in 2013. Her 31 points this season crushed the previous school record of 25 set by Lauren Podolski in 2006. She finished the year with a 1.72 points per game average which topped the previous best of 1.39 set by Podolski in the 2006 campaign. Her seven assists this season were tops in the Missouri Valley Conference and third-best ever at ISU. She finished her career with 67 points which is second in program history and only three behind Podolski's school record of 70. She finished with a 0.96 points per match average for second-best at ISU.

2017: Scored two goals each against Chicago State and Purdue-Fort Wayne ...  Played and started in all 17 matches during her junior season as a Sycamore... logged a total of 1,457 minutes played... led the team in goals with six and points with 14 while also notching two assists... took a total of 40 shots with 22 shots on goal... earning Second Team All-MVC honors while also being named to the 2017 Scholar Athlete team.

2016: Appeared and started in all 20 matches of the season... Took a total of 15 shots with 10 on goal earning an impressive .667 shots on goal percentage... Led the team in points with 19 overall... Tallied a total of five goals and three assists on the year... Had an impressive performance against Drake (Sept. 30) with one goal and one assist in the comeback win... Earned First Team All-MVC and was named to the 2016 Scholar Athlete team.

2015: Played in 15 matches, making eight starts… Took her first career shot against Chicago State (Sept. 18)… Took seven shots throughout the year, including a pair of two-shot performances against Northern Iowa (Oct. 18) and Loyola Chicago (Oct. 24)… Racked up three offensive points in the season finale with Illinois State (Oct. 29)… Assisted the first goal of the match with Illinois State (Oct. 29) and later scored on a penalty kick.

Prep: Katie played two seasons at Warren Central HS... Earned MIC All-Conference Honors while leading her team with 14 goals and nine assists... 2012 All-District, First Team All-County, Second Team All-State... Scored 15 goals and added 12 assists... 2011-2012 Sectional Champions... 2012 Regional Champions and Semi-State Finalist... In her club career, her team was champion of the International Tournament ODP in Berlin, Germany... 2014 State Cup Champion... 2014 National Cup Premier Champion... Also competed in cross country.

Personal: Born December 30, 1996 ... Katie is the daughter of Mike and Pam Wells and has three siblings ... Two sisters, Jessica and Jamie and a brother, Gabriel ... Majoring in Athletic Training.
