Rachel Fulkerson is in her third season with the Indiana State women's soccer program under the direction of head coach Julie Hanley.
Fulkerson was an assistant coach for the Fightin' Engineers during the 2016 & 2017 seasons while taking master's level classes at Indiana State.
"Having known her the last couple years, I am excited about having Rachel join our staff," coach Hanley said. "She is an Indiana native, has strong roots in the Wabash Valley and is already involved in the Terre Haute community. She is a great person with a strong knowledge of the game and her addition to our program will make us a stronger team."
Fulkerson was part of squads with a combined record of 18-17-2, including an appearance in the 2016 HCAC Tournament. The Fightin' Engineers had one of the league's top defenses during each season, recording 13 shutouts and allowing just 46 goals in 37 total matches.
Fulkerson came to Rose-Hulman after a four-year soccer career at Indiana Wesleyan University. A native of Brownsburg, Ind., she has helped coach international soccer in Jamaica and has two years of high school coaching experience in the United States.
Fulkerson earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Indiana Wesleyan and earned her master's degree in kinesiology and exercise science at Indiana State University in 2018.
