2018: Played in 17 matches and earned 10 starts for the Sycamores ... Tied for second on the team with four goals scored ... Posted eight points on the year and had 16 total shots, including 11 on goal ... Owned the game winning goal when she scored at SIU Edwardsville for her first goal of the season .... Added goals against Western Michigah, Chicago State and Drake ... Season-high three shots against both Akron and Chicago State.

2017: Played in a total of 16 games during her debut season while also making 11 starts... logged a total of 784 minutes played... notched a total of three goals and one assist earning herself seven points on the year... also took 16 shots with nine being on goal.

Prep: Alina Steffen joined the Sycamores from Bettendorf, Iowa where she attended Bettendorf High School. During her high school career she earned all-conference, all-district, and all-state honors. Steffen played club soccer for the Iowa City Alliance under the direction of coach Paul Dayrell.

Personal: Born April 15, 1999 ... Alina is the daughter of Linda and Mark Steffen and has one sibling, Christian ... Steffen majors in nursing.
