2017

MVC Scorer (Weight Throw, fourth place)

Competed in seven meets for the Sycamores in the weight throw and shot put...Placed fourth in the weight throw at the MVC Championships with a mark of 18.29m (60-00.25).

2016

Competed in the shot and weight in six meets for the Sycamores...Finished ninth in the weight throw at the MVC Indoor Championships at 17.23m (56-06.50)...Had season-bests of 17.97m (58-11.50) in the weight and 15.79m (51-09.75) in the shot.

2015

MVC Scorer (Weight Throw, seventh place)

MVC Scorer in the weight throw, where he finished seventh overall at 18.80m (61-08.25)...Set a career-best toss in the weight throw of 19.07m (62-06.75), the 10th-best throw in Indiana State history...Topped out at 15.92m (52-02.75) at the UNI Team Invite...Competed in eight meets for the Sycamores.

MVC Scorer (Hammer Throw, sixth)

Was named an MVC Scholar Athlete...Placed sixth at the MVC Championships in the hammer throw with a mark of 54.14m (177-07.00)...Recorded a personal-best mark in the hammer throw of 57.71m (189-04.00) at the Tiger Track Classic.

2016

MVC Scorer (Hammer Throw, Eighth Place)

Scored for the Sycamores in the hammer, finishing eighth at 52.03m (170-08)...Narrowly missed scoring in the discus (ninth) and shot put (12th) as well...Set a PR in the hammer of 53.05m (174-00) at home in the Pacesetter Invite to finish fourth overall.

2015

Competed in the shot put, discus and hammer in seven meets for the Sycamores...Had a career best of 16.10m (52-10.00) in the shot put at the EIU Twilight...Career-best in the discus of 47.78m (156-09) at the MVC Outdoor Championships...Personal best of 49.61m (162-09) in the hammer at the Big Blue Classic.

2014

Competed in the shot put and discus during season...Posted a season-best throw of 14.23m (46-08.25) in the shot put at EIU Tuesday Tweener...Had a career-best distance of 42.90m (140-09) at the Illinois Twilight.

High School

Competed in varsity football all four years, as well as track and field, baseball and basketball at South Putnam High School...Three-time conference champion and two-time county champion in shot put...2012 sectional shot put champion...Posted personal bests of 54-0 in shot put and 125-06 in discus...Puntam County Player of the Year in football...Three-time IFCA All-State in football, two-time AP All-State and Indiana Digest All-State...North-South All-Star in 2012...Part of South Putnam/s 2012 sectional championship team...Also part of the 2010 baseball sectional champion team.

Personal

Born March 19, 1994, in Cloverdale, Ind., to John Chestnut and Regina Walton...Has two siblings, Cameron and Derek...Majoring in electrical engineering technology with a minor in computer engineering technology...His brother, Cameron, played baseball at St. Joes.
