2012 - Did not compete.

2011 - Competed in long jump and triple jump ... led team in triple jump with personal best leap of 49'-8.5" (15.15 meters) at Edmonds Cup ... had personal best distance of 23'-5.5" (7.15 meters) in finishing sixth at MVC Indoor Championships ... placed fifth in triple jump at MVC Indoors (48'-4.75"/14.75 meters) .. also ran 8.37 in 60 meters at EIU Friday Night Special and 23.85 in 200 meters at EIU Early Bird.

Outdoor Track & Field -

2012 - Did not compete.

2011 - Placed fifth in triple jump at MVC Outdoors with personal best leap of 48'-6" (14.78 meters) ... placed seventh in long jump at MVC Outdoors with personal best leap of 23'-0.5" (7.01 meters)

Before ISU -

Lettered three years in track & field at Oak Forest High School ... also lettered two years in football and one year in basketball ... named All-State in triple jump and 110 high hurdles ... set school record in triple jump.

Marcel Jamal Hamilton was born on March 7, 1992, in Country Club Hills, Ill., the son of Norman and Treva Hamilton ... majoring in Business Administration at Indiana State ... interests include golf and traveling.
