2011 – Named
Second Team All-American in high jump after finishing 11th at the NCAA Division
I Indoor Track & Field Championships … named All-Conference in high jump
for third straight year … won second straight title at MVC Indoor Championships
by clearing 7’-3” (2.21 meters) … tied school record by clearing 7’-4.5” (2.25
meters) at Grand Valley Big Meet … has cleared seven feet in 17 of 18 indoor
meets during ISU career.
2010 – Named
All-Conference in high jump for second straight year after winning the event at
MVC Indoors with jump of 7’-1.5” … had personal best jump of 7’-3” (third best
in school history) in winning event at Iowa State Classic … competed at NCAA
Indoor Championships, placing 12th after clearing 7’-0.25”.
2009 – Earned
NCAA provisional qualifying mark in first indoor meet as Sycamore, winning the
high jump with a leap of 7’-0.25” at the Terre Haute Double Dual (1/16) …
established personal best and the fourth best height in ISU history in high
jump with jump of 7’-1” set at Alex Wilson Invitational (3/7) … earned MVC
All-Conference honors with a third place finish at the MVC Indoor Championships
with a leap of 6’-10.75”.
2008 – Did
not compete.
Outdoor Track & Field –
2012 - Named All-Conference in high jump for fourth straight
year ... won fourth straight MVC Outdoor championship by clearing 7’-0.25”
(2.14 meters) in just second competition since recovering from indoor season
injury ... competed in NCAA East, tying for 20th by clearing 6’-11.5” (2.12
meters) and missing NCAA Finals for first time in career … competed at 2012
U.S. Olympic Trials.
2011 –
Competed in high jump at USA Track & Field Outdoor National Championships
for second straight year, finishing 16th by clearing 7’-0. 5” (2.15 meters) …
advanced to NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships for third straight
year with an eighth place finish at the East Preliminary by clearing 7’-0.25”
(2.14 meters) … placed 20th at NCAA Outdoors by clearing 6’-10.75” (2.10
meters) in a weather delayed event … named All-Conference after winning high
jump for third straight year at MVC Outdoors by clearing 6’-8.75” (2.05 meters)
… cleared 7’-3.25” (2.22 meters) at Pacesetter Invitational, the third best
height in school history.
2010 – Competed
in high jump at USA Track & Field Outdoor National Championships, tying for
ninth with jump of 7’-2.5” … named All-American in men’s high jump … placed
11th at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships after clearing 7’-0.25”
(2.14 meters) … advanced to NCAA Finals for second straight year after clearing
7’-1” to place fourth at East Preliminary Round … named All-Conference in high
jump for second straight year after winning the event at MVC Outdoors with jump
of 7’-2.25” … had personal best jump of 7’-3” at ISU Quadrangular.
2009 – Placed
fifth at Mid-East Regional in high jump with leap of 7’-1” to advance to NCAA
Outdoor Championships (missed opening height) … won high jump at MVC Outdoor
Championships with jump of 7’0.5” … named MVC All-Conference in high jump … had
career best jump and third best in ISU history with jump of 7’2.5” in winning
the high jump at the Indiana State Pacesetter Invitational (5/2) … competed at
USA Championships.
2008 – Did

Lettered in track and
basketball all four years at Lanphier High School … two-time state champion in
high jump (6’10” in 2006 and 6’9” in 2007) … set school record at 7’0.25” after
breaking previous mark of 7’0” he set in 2006 … won Illinois Prep top times in
2006 and 2007 … set Illinois indoor High School high jump record at 7’0.25” …
2006 Addidas Golden West Invitational placer … Nike All-American placer in 2007.

Dominique (Major) Clay was
born on Dec. 24, 1988, in Springfield, Ill., the son of Dee Clay … majoring in
Criminal Justice at Indiana State … loves playing basketball, hanging out with
friends and talking on the phone.
