2x MVC Scorer (Weight Throw, fifth; Shot Put, fifth)
Scored in both the weight and shot at the MVC Indoor Championships for the second straight season...Set a new PR in the shot put at 15.30m (50-02.50) at Notre Dame, the fifth-best toss in school history.
2015
2x MVC Scorer (Weight Throw, fourth; Shot Put, sixth)
Scored in two different events for the Sycamore women en route to another MVC Indoor team title...finished just outside the podium in fourth place in the weight throw at 19.90m (65-03.50) in a stacked field that included two eventual First-Team All-Americans...That toss was a PR that ranks fifth all-time...Rutz also scored in the shot put, finishing sixth at what was then a PR at 14.92m (48-11.50), the sixth-best throw in ISU history.
2014
Competed in the shot put and weight throw...Had a career best distance of 45’-7” (13.89m) in the shot put at Hoosier Hills...Posted personal best 56’-2.5” (17.13m) in weight throw in placing 11th at MVC Indoors...Was 10th in shot put at MVC Indoors (45’-3.5”/13.80m).
2013
Competed in shot put and weight throw...Established career best distance of 44’-7” (13.59m) in shot put and 51’-0.25” (15.55m) in weight throw at Grand Valley State Big Meet...Placed ninth in shot put at MVC Indoors (43’-9”/13.33m) and 14th in weight throw (50’-9.25”/15.47m).

NCAA East Region Qualifier (Discus, 37th place)
NCAA East Region Qualifer for the second straight season in the discus, where she finished 37th overall...Set a new discus PR at home in the Pacesetter Invite at 49.65m (162-11), the seventh-best throw in school history.
2014
NCAA East Region Qualifier (Discus, 45th place)
MVC Scorer (Discus, fifth place)
NCAA East Region qualifier in the discus, where she finished 45th overall...Qualified with a toss of 48.70m (159-09) at the MVC Outdoor Championships, which was good for fifth overall and her first-career MVC points...That toss also ranked seventh all-time at ISU...Also set new bests in the hammer (48.51m) and shot put (14.15m).
2013
Competed in the shot put, discus, hammer, and javelin...Posted the 10th best distance in school history in discus of 153’-6” (46.9 meters) at Jesse Owens...Had career best throw of 43’-10.75” (13.38 meters) in shot put at Billy Hayes...Placed 15th in shot put at MVC Outdoors (43’-2.25”/13.16 meters)...Had collegiate best 128’-0” (39.05 meters) in hammer and 65’-4” (19.92 meters) in javelin at Rose-Hulman.

Lettered in track & field four years, basketball three years, and volleyball two years at Amherst High School...Named 2012 All-State in discus...Competed at state track & field championships three straight years...Was third in shot put and third in discus as senior, fourth in shot put at junior, and second in discus and ninth in shot put in 2010...Named All-Conference all four years of high school...Regional and sectional champion in 2011 and 2012...Named MVP three straight years (2010-2012)...Named Rookie of the Year in 2009...Set school records in shot put and discus...Set freshman record in discus.

Born Nov. 17, 1993, in Stevens Point, Wis., to Karin Hatfield and David Rutz...Brother, Phillip, played football at the University of Minnsota-Duluth and sister, Lindsay, is currently a thrower for Winona State track and field...Majoring in public health and health administration...Also has a certificate in gerontology.
