Competed in shot put and weight throw … had season best distance in shot put of
41’-1.75” (12.54 meters) at EIU Early Bird … had career best distance of
55’-5.5” (16.90 meters) in weight throw at EIU Friday Night Special … placed
15th in weight throw at MVC Indoors (54’-10.25”).
2011 –
Competed in the shot put and weight throw … placed 12th in shot put at MVC
Indoor Championships with throw of 37’-6” (11.43 meters) … placed 12th in
weight throw at MVC Indoors with distance of 51’-4.25” (15.65 meters) …
established personal best in shot put of 41’-2.25” (12.55 meters) at EIU Friday
Night Special and 51’-8.5” (15.76 meters) in weight throw at Grand Valley Big
Meet.
2010 – Competed
in the shot put and weight throw … had season best throw of 41’-1.5” in shot
put at Illinois State Dual … had season best throw of 51’-1.5” in weight throw
at Tiger Invitational which is 16th best in school history.
Outdoor Track & Field –
2012 –
Competed in discus and hammer throw … had season best distance of 137’-4”
(41.85 meters) in discus at EIU Tuesday Tweener … had season best distance of
154’-2” (46.98 meters) in hammer throw at Polytan Invitational … placed 12th in
hammer throw (149’-9”) and 13th in discus (132’-0”) at MVC Outdoors.
2011 –
Received the Missouri Valley Conference State Farm Good Neighbor Award … placed
ninth in the discus at the MVC Outdoor Championships with a personal best throw
of 138’-9” (42.29 meters) … also had season best throws of 39’-2.25” (11.94
meters) in the shot put at the Tom Botts Invitational and 144’-11” (44.17
meters) in the hammer at the Indiana Quadrangular.
2010 – Competed
in shot put, discus, and hammer throw … placed 14th in discus (117-’7”) and
15th in hammer (133’9”) at MVC Outdoors … had personal bests of 39’-6” in shot
put (Purdue Outdoor Open), 130’-8” in discus (Pacesetter Invitational), and
156’-9” in hammer (Billy Hayes Invitational).
Before ISU –
Lettered in track & field
four years, basketball three years, and swimming three years at Gibson Southern
High School … named All-State in 2009, All-State Academic in 2009, All-American
Academic, and second team All-Sport All-State … named track & field Most
Valuable Player all four years … won sectional and regional titles in discus as
senior, advancing to state meet for third straight year, finishing fourth with
throw of 128’-6” … had personal best in shot put of 39’-0” in winning sectional
title as senior … qualified for state meet in discus during both her sophomore
and junior year, finishing 14th both times … four time conference champion and
four time sectional champion in discus… holds school record in discus (128’-8”)
and shot put (39’-2”).
Personal –
Kasey Nicole Kahle was
born on April 14, 1991 in Evansville, Ind., the daughter of Ron and Glenda
Kahle … majoring in Math Education at Indiana State … interests include working
out, swimming, reading, and music … member of the Presidential Scholar
Association, the University Honors Scholars Association, the Student Athlete
Advisory Committee, and president of the Missouri Valley Conference SAAC.
