Indoor Track & Field –

2014 – Did not compete.

2013 – Competed in 60 meters, 200 meters and long jump … posted a career best of 7.61 during preliminary round of 60 meters at MVC Indoors … went on to finish fourth in 60 meters at MVC Indoors (7.66) … posted a career best distance of 18’-5” (3.52m) in long jump at Coughlan-Malloy Cup … placed eighth in long jump at MVC Indoors (18’-2.5”/5.55m) … ran career best 25.78 in 200 meters at Indiana Relays.

2012 – Competed in 55, 60- and 200 meters, and long jump … ran sixth fastest 60 meters in school history at 7.61 in MVC Indoor Preliminaries … finished seventh at MVC Indoors with time of 7.70 in finals … ran career best 7.31 in 55 meters at ISU Open … had career best 25.96 finish in 200 meters at Meyo Invitational … placed ninth in long jump at MVC Indoors with career best leap of 18’-5” (5.61 meters).

Outdoor Track & Field –

2014 – Competed in 100 meters and long jump … ran season best 12.23 seconds in 100 meters to finish 11th at MVC Outdoors … had career best leap of 19’-5.5” (5.93m) in placing second at EIU Last Chance … was fifth at MVC Outdoors in long jump with leap of 19’-3.5” (5.88m).

2013 – Qualified for NCAA East as member of 4x100 meter relay team but did not compete … named All-Conference as member of 4x100 meter relay team … ran opening leg of 4x100 that ran third fastest time in school history (45.16) in winning event at MVC Outdoors … ran anchor leg of 4x200 relay that ran second fastest time in school history (1:38.28) at Drake Relays … ran collegiate best time in 100 meter hurdles (11.81) in preliminaries of MVC Outdoors … placed seventh in MVC finals (12.02) … had a collegiate best distance and eighth best in school history of 19’-4.75” (5.91 meters) in placing fourth in long jump at MVC Outdoors.

2012 – Ran career best 12.96 in 100 meters at Pacesetter Quadrangular … ran anchor leg of 4x100 meter relay that finished in 47.53 at Pacesetter Quadrangular.

Before ISU –

Lettered in track & field for four years, basketball four years, and volleyball four years at Dowagiac Union High School … named All-State and All-Conference … received the Most Valuable Player and Player of the Year awards … holds the 100 meter, 200 meter, 4x100 relay, and long jump records at high school.

Personal –

Kaisha Simone Martin was born on Jan. 6, 1993, in Dowagiac, Mich., the daughter of Joann Watkins and Cornell Watkins … majoring in Exercise Science at Indiana State … interests include track & field, volleyball and basketball.
