2012 – Competed in 800, 1000,1600 and mile … ran career bests of 2:25.04 in 800 meters at dual meet with Illinois State, 3:05.31 in 1,000 meters at Meyo Invitational, 5:21.32 in mile at ISU Open, and 5:15.54 in mile at GVSU Big Meet.
2011 – Competed in the mile and 3,000 meters … ran personal best 5:35.29 in mile at Terre Haute Double Dual … ran personal best 11:27.75 in 3,000 meters at EIU Early Bird.

Lettered in cross country four years and track & field four years at Northridge High School … earned Mental Attitude award twice in cross country … was MVP in track one year … finished 12th in a very tough Elkhart Cross Country Regional as senior, placed 16th at New Haven Semi-State, and had her best race of season at the State meet, finishing 20th … selected for Indiana All-Star team and competed in the Mid-East Championships.

Hanna Leigh Mercer was born on May 19, 1991 in Elkhart, Ind., the daughter of Lori and David Mercer … majoring in art with a concentration in graphic design at Indiana State … enjoys being with friends, cooking, and movies … brother, Ladd, competes in cross country and track & field at Purdue University … sister, Emily, competes in cross country and track & field at Indiana State University.
