Indoor Track & Field –

2013 – Competed in the 60 meter hurdles … ran a career best 8;04 in placing second at the Grand Valley State Big Meet … finished fifth at the MVC Indoors in 8.19 after running 8.06 in the preliminaries.

2012 – Competed in 200 meters and hurdles … ran career best 22.99 in 200 meters at MVC Indoors … posted career best 8.15 in semifinals of 60 meter hurdles at Indiana Relays … ran career best 7.53 in 55 hurdles at EIU Friday Night Special … finished ninth in 60 hurdles at MVC Indoors.

2011 – Competed in sprints and hurdles … set personal bests of 7.11 in 60 meters (Meyo Invitational), 22.47 in 200 meters (Grand Valley Big Meet), and 8.25 in 60 meter hurdles (Meyo Invitational).

Outdoor Track & Field –

2013 – Competed in 110 and 400 meter hurdles … posted collegiate best in 110 hurdles (13.32) at Billy Hayes Invitational … ran season best (54.84) in 400 hurdles at MVC Outdoors, placing 10th … finished sixth in 110 hurdles at MVC Outdoors … ran opening leg of shuttle hurdle relay that ran second fastest time in school history (56.63) in finishing second at Drake Relays.

2012 – Competed in 110 and 400 hurdles and 100 meters during season … ran career best 55.29 in 400 meters at Auburn Tiger Classic … posted career best 14.35 in 110 hurdles in MVC Outdoor preliminaries … placed 10th in 400 meters at MVC Outdoors and seventh in 110 hurdles … ran career best 11.07 in 100 meters at EIU Big Blue Classic … ran opening leg of 4x110 shuttle hurdle relay team that ran a school record 56.42 in winning the event at the Drake Relays … team also ran second fastest time of 57.89 in Drake Relay  preliminaries.

2011 – Ran personal best 14.98 in 110 hurdles at Pacesetter Invitational.

Before ISU –

Competed in track & field four years at Ben Davis High School ... competed in football two years and wrestling one year … sectional champion in four events … named Most Improved and Runner of the Year … set school record in 55 high hurdles.

Personal –

Duane Jerome Brown was born on July 12, 1991, in Hayward, Calif., the son of Bridget and Thomas Brown … majoring in Criminal Justice at Indiana State ... interests include playing viola and violin … mother, Bridget Brown, ran track at Louisiana State University.
