Lettered four years in track & field and four years in cross country at West Side High School ... team captain ... was conference and regional champion ... was state qualifier ... named MVP of track team ... member state champion 4x400 relay ... member indoor 4x200 relay team that placed sixth at state.

Darnecia La'Shea Suggs was born on Jan. 15, 1992, in East Chicago, Ind., the daughter of Ursula and Dwayne Suggs ... majoring in Psychology at Indiana State.
