Threw in both the shot and weight in three meets for the Sycamores...Set a PR of 13.95m (45-09.25) in the shot at the UNI Team Invite and a PR of 15.01m (49-03.00) in the weight at the EIU Friday Night Special.
Outdoor Track & Field:

Did not compete.
High School:
Participated in track and field all four years at track powerhouse Cahokia High School, winner of 10 Illinois state team titles...Two-time All-State thrower...Two-time All-Conference and two-time All-City thrower...Also played was an All-Conference and All-City football player for Cahokia.
Personal:
Born July 27, 1996, in East St. Louis, Ill. to Daniall and Kimmerly Akins...He has two siblings, Nia and Dorian...Majoring in psychology.
