Michelle Kiesanowski joined the Indiana State staff in August 2008 as a volunteer assistant coach and is working alongside Angie Martin with the long sprinters. A graduate student from New Zealand, Kiesanowski is working towards a Masters in Physical Education with an emphasis in coaching.

Back in New Zealand, Kiesanowski completed her undergraduate degree in Recreation Management at Lincoln University, followed by a Post Graduate diploma in Sports Medicine at Otago University. She is working towards completing her Athletics New Zealand Level 2 sprints and relays qualification.

Kiesanowski is a former New Zealand Junior 400 meter hurdles champion and was involved in coaching sprints and hurdles back in her hometown of Christchurch. She was also a member of the New Zealand women’s road cycling team for three years and raced throughout Europe and North America before retiring in 2007.
