Cross Country –
2012 – Competed at the Bradley Open, running three-mile event in 22:55 to finish 85th.
Indoor Track & Field –
2013 – Competed in 600 meters and triple jump … ran season best 1:45.10 in 600 meters at Indiana Relays … posted a career best leap of 35’-5.5” (10.79 meters) in triple jump at EIU Early Bird.
2012 – Did not compete.
2011 – Competed in 200, 400, and 600meters, long jump, triple jump, and Pentathlon … placed 13th in the Pentathlon at MVC Indoor Championships, scoring 2,755 points, finishing fourth in the 800 meters with a personal best time of 2:27.24 … had personal best times of 27.80 in 200 meters at Terre Haute Double Dual, 1:00.83 in 400 meters at Tiger Invitational, and 1:39.96 in 600 meters at Grand Valley Big Meet … had personal bests jumps of 15’-4” (4.67 meters) in long jump at EIU Friday Night Special and 35’-6” (10.82 meters) in triple jump at EIU Early Bird … established several personal bests in pentathlon events at MVC Indoors including 60 meter hurdles (10.14), high jump (4’-5.5”/1.36 meters), and shot put (24’-7”/7.49 meters).
Outdoor Track & Field –
2013 – Ran collegiate best (1:05.26) in 400 meter hurdles while placing fourth at Stan Lyons Invitational.
2012 – Competed in 400 meters and 400 meter hurdles … ran career best 1:03.29 in 400 meters at EIU Big Blue Classic … finished in career best 1:08.45 in 400 meters hurdles with a fifth place finish at EIU Tuesday Tweener … anchored 4x400 meter relay that finished in 4:04.21 at EIU-ISU Ice Dual.
2011 – Did not compete.
Before ISU –
Earned varsity letter award all four years in track & field at Huntley High School … named All-McHenry County … received several awards in track & field including Top Newcomer, Most Valuable Player, Top Sprinter, and Top Field Event … top five in school records in all events … set school record in 300 meter hurdles and as member of 4x400 relay team.
Personal –
Amy Michelle Fanella is the daughter of Julie and Michael Fanella … majoring in Physical Education at Indiana State with minor in strength training and conditioning with plans to become a Physical Education teacher and coach … interests include athletics and community service … sister, Alyssa, played soccer for one year at St. Mary’s.
