Season Outlook (2010)
"Meagan is one of the most consistent pitchers we've ever had, and this year, she has really stepped into a leadership role with the younger members of the team," Head Coach Brenda Coldren said. "She's been a great mentor, and she has challenged herself to take our team to the next level. With her attitude, work ethic and ball movement, Meagan is ready to take on the teams in the Missouri Valley. She has worked extremely hard to improve her game during the off season, and we have seen some great things early on."
As a Junior (2009)
Posted a 2.55 earned-run average over 16 appearances ... Started 11 games and struck out 42 batters of 49.1 innings of work ... Threw four innings of scoreless ball and gave up just one hit against Illinois State ... Took a 5-4 win in relief against IUPUI, striking out six batters and surrendering one hit over four innings ... Was the winning pitcher in a 2-1 win over Evansville, throwing five innings with three hits and four strikeouts.
As a Sophomore (2008)
Finished the season with an 11-15 record and a 2.87 ERA ... Threw 19 complete games ... Struck out 140 batters, more than the other three Sycamore pitchers combined and good for fifth all-time in school history for most strikeouts in a single season ... Her 140 strikeouts also ranked sixth in the MVC ... Set a personal best with 10 strikeouts against Butler, when she pitched all seven innings and gave up just four hits to 29 batters faced ... Struck out eight or more batters on four other occasions ... Tied for seventh all-time for most pitching victories in a single season (11).
As a Freshman (2007)
Pitched in 23 games, starting 16 and produced a 1.66 ERA ... Struck out 57 batters ... Gave up only three hits in seven innings pitched versus Saint Louis ... Voted Most Improved Player by her teammates.
High School
Lettered in softball all four years under Coach Lorenzo Walker ... Named to the all-state second team her junior and senior seasons ... 2005 Marion County Player of the Year ... Named to the North/South All-Star Team ... Honored as her team's most valuable player in 2005 and 2006 and was the 2006 player of the year ... Owned the highest batting average on the team as a senior.
