Season Outlook (2010)
"Kacy has developed into an outstanding outfielder after transitioning from the infield," Head Coach Brenda Coldren said. "She is one of the strongest kids we have, and she has the all the tools to have a tremendous senior season. Kacy has great speed and range in the outfield and is one of the fastest kids in the conference. If she puts the ball in play, she will get on base, and we look for her to be a tablesetter this year."
As a Junior (2009)
Versatile player who saw time in both the infield and outfield ... Scored a run and stole a base in ISU's 3-1 win over Detroit Mercy ... Went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate against Mercer ... Hit 2-for-4 with a run scored and swiped a bag versus Georgia State ... Had a 1-for-2 performance with a run against Jacksonville State ... Tossed over five assists against Kennesaw State ... Was 2-for-3 with a run scored at Wichita State ... Had a 1-for-2 day while scoring a run and drawing a walk against IUPUI ... Went a perfect 2-for-2 and crossed the place once in a 4-1 win over Illinois State ... Helped the Sycamores to an 8-0 shutout of Evansville, going 1-for-2 with a run scored ... Chipped in two hits and a pair of runs over three games at the MVC Championship.
As a Sophomore (2008)
Saw action in 27 games, starting nine ... Specialized in pinch-running, making 14 appearances and scoring six runs ... Had 16 at-bats, connecting twice for two singles.
As a Freshman (2007)
Appeared in 30 games as a freshman ... Went 2-for-3 in stolen base attempts ... Crossed the plate eight times for the Sycamores.
High School
Selected third team all-state her senior season ... Four-year letterwinner in softball and three-time letterwinner in volleyball ... Named to the All-Marion County First Team three consecutive years ... First-team all-conference selection in 2004 and 2005 ... Also made the Mooresville Times First Team her junior and senior seasons ... Selected as Mooresville Times Player of the Year and Decatur Central's Female Athlete of the Year as a senior ... Helped her team win a sectional championship in 2005 ... Batted over .350 in all four of her softball seasons, attaining her highest average (.457) in her junior year.
