Undergraduate Assistant Coach Alex Lucas enters her first season on staff with the Sycamore softball team after completing a four-year playing career at Indiana State.

During her career at Indinaa State, Lucas appeared in 120 games for the Sycamores, getting the starting nod in 88. During her senior season, Lucas hit her first career home run in a doubleheader with IUPUI at Price Field.

Lucas will work primarily with the Sycamore catchers along with other various coaching responsibilities.

A native of Kent, Washington, Lucas is the daughter of Myron and Shelley Lucas and has two brothers, Tanner and Carson. Her father was a wrestler at Central Washington. Lucas is completing her degree at Indiana State in nursing.
