Indiana State University Athletics

Ross Sponsler is in his fourth year as a Graduate Manager for the Indiana State Basketball program.

In his role with the Sycamores, Sponsler assists with practice and game film editing, team travel and is an assistant to the head coach. He also helps coordinate the Indiana State Summer Basketball Camps and coordinates the student managers.

Sponsler played collegiate basketball at Wabash College following a successful career at Terre Haute North High School. At Wabash he averaged over 11 points per game was an all-conference honoree in high school. He graduated from Wabash with a degree in Communications in May of 2016. Sponsler is pursuing a graduate degree in Recreation and Sports Management at Indiana State.

He is the grandson of Sycamore Athletics legend Jim Waugh who was a multi-sport athlete in basketball, football and baseball. Coach Waugh worked for many years with the Sycamore Basketball program as a radio and television analyst.
