Khristian Smith

In his second season as a graduate manager with the Indiana State Basketball program is former Sycamore star Khristian Smith.

Smith became the 36th member of the Indiana State Basketball 1,000 Point Club with his double-double performance of 10 points and 11 rebounds in the home win over Loyola during the 2015-16 season. At Loyola he we went over 500 career rebounds to become the 17th player in the history of the program to record at least 1,000 points scored and 500 rebounds. He  scored 1,172 career points to finish as 22nd all-time leading scorer at Indiana State.

He was named the Missouri Valley Conference Sixth Man of the Year following the 2013-14 campaign. Likewise, he was also named to The Valley's All-Bench & Most Improved Teams following that same season. He was named the MVC Player of the Week following his 21.5 ppg outburst over a two-game stretch on the road against Belmont and No. 21 Notre Dame.

As a freshman in 2012-13, Smith was named to the MVC All-Bench Team and was tied for the team high with 11 points in his Sycamore debut at No. 13 UCLA -- a game which was the first game in newly renovated Pauley Pavillion.

Prior to coming to ISU, he competed for one season at Maine Central Institute for coach David Campbell and was a member of the NEPSAC Championship Team and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

A native of Indianapolis, he played in high school at Pike HS during the 2009-10 campaign where he earned first team all-conference and second team all-county honors. He was named the Most Valuable Player of his team as a senior and averaged 14.2 ppg as well as 6.5 rebounds and hit 57 percent of his shots from the field.

He graduated from Indiana State with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management in 2016.
