High School - As a freshman he attended Neuqua Valley High School (8A) and was the schools first freshman varsity starter... Transferred to Waubonsie Valley High School (8A)... Handled kicking and punting duties his junior and senior years...Named one of the state of Illinois's top punters his senior season... Set Waubonsie Valley High School record for longest punt at 72 yards... Averaged 40.0 yards per punt on 23 attempts.... Made 3/4 field goals senior season helping his High School team to the playoffs for the second straight year...Named Waubonsie Valley 2011 special teams player of the year and Upstate Eight All-Conference Honorable Mention 2011.

Personal - Born February 18, 1994, in Naperville Ill... Parents are Brent and Amy Mellecker... Has a younger brother Jordan...Plans on majoring in exercise science.
