As a senior with Indiana State in 2011, Fouch was named to the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Honorable Mention list following a season that saw him help the team to a 6-5 record -- its second consecutive winning season and the first back-to-back winning campaigns for the program since 1995 & 1996. He threw for 2,064 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, averaging 187.6 yards per game through the air. Fouch spread the ball around in his senior season, throwing touchdown passes to six different receivers and averaging over 45 yards per game with three different targets. He threw a touchdown pass in every game this season, while passing for a season-high of 295 yards against Southern Illinois on Senior Day.

During his first season with the program, Fouch earned an honorable mention selection on the All-Missouri Valley Football Conference Team as well as an offensive selection on the MVFC All-Newcomer squad. He completed 168-of-289 passes for 2,252 yards and 20 touchdowns over the course of the year. His 2,252 passing yards finished second in school history while his 20 touchdown passes are the Indiana State school record. He completed 15-of-17 passes against Quincy, which set a school record for highest completion percentage in a game (88.2 %) and posted seven games of over 200 yards passing and two of over 300 yards. Fouch was named the league's Newcomer of the Week twice and Offensive Player Of The Week once following the Missouri State contest.

Fouch came to Indiana State as a transfer from Washington, where he spent the 2009 campaign as the Huskies' No. 2 quarterback under Coach Steve Sarkisian. He appeared in all 12 games as the holder and played quarterback in four games (Idaho, Oregon, Washington State and California). As a redshirt freshman in 2008, Fouch played in all 12 games, starting the last eight of the season after current NFL star Jake Locker's injury in game four and appeared off the bench in the first four contests. He completed 113-of-250 passes for 1,339 yards and four touchdowns, while his top passing game came against Oregon State, when he was 17-for-32 for 276 yards.

Fouch was a four-year letterwinner at Redlands East Valley High School where as a senior, he completed 149 of 260 passes for 2,690 yards and 23 touchdowns. He was named to CalHiSports all-state third team and to the All-CIF Inland Division first team.
