Painter is in his fifth season overall and his second season under head coach Curt Mallory with the Sycamore football program as a student assistant coach.
Prior to joining the staff, Painter was on a full football scholarship with Indiana State before an injury ended his playing career. He currently works with the Sycamore defensive line and special teams under coaches Mark Smith and Kevin Abrams. His responsibilities include defensive opponent film breakdown, scouting reports, offensive and special team scout teams as well as assisting with defensive line drills during practices..
The Fort Wayne, Indiana native is currently majoring in sports management at Indiana State.
