2013 – Made seven bullpen appearances in 2013, going 1-2 with an 8.53 ERA … pitched just 6.1 innings after suffering an injury during the early part of the season before returning late in the year … saw time on the mound in five games in May, including two appearances in the MVC Tournament … struck out two batters in 2.1 innings of work against Bradley on May 18, also earning the victory in relief.
2012 - Made 16 appearances out of the ISU bullpen ... went 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA on the season ... earned wins over Wichita State (May 5) and SIU Edwardsville (May 9) ... struck out 12 batters in 22.0 innings ... made 12 scoreless appearances ... recorded multiple strikeouts in four appearances ... fanned three batters in 4.1 scoreless innings in relief against Valparaiso, assisting ISU to a 2-1 victory in 16 innings ... allowed just one hit in 2.2 innings of relief work in Indiana State's opening game of the 2012 NCAA Tournament in Eugene, Ore., against Cal State Fullerton.
2011 - Appeared in six games for Indiana State in his first season, striking out seven batters in six innings ... finished the year with a 1.50 ERA, allowing just one earned run ... did not allow a run in his final three trips to the mound, including tossing one scoreless inning in relief against Wichita State during the conference tournament ... fanned a season-high two batters against Indiana on March 9.
High School - Earned two letters at Niles West High School under head coach Garry Gustafson ... set the NWHS record with 18 strikeouts in one game ... also picked up team MVP honors.
Personal – Tyler James Pazik was born on Oct. 8, 1991, in Evanston, Ill., the son of Cindy and Cliff Pazik ... majoring in Exercise Science ... has two siblings, Abbi and Cody.
